Website terms and important limitations

These terms set out how this website works and the limits of what it provides. This is a review draft for legal review and must be aligned with the actual legal entity and contracting process before it goes live.

Review draft - align with the actual entity before launch

This draft states the categories a live terms document must cover. The legal entity that operates this website, its registration details and the formal contracting process must be confirmed by the owner and inserted here before publication. Until then, these terms describe the intended position in general terms.

An independent service

Tax Relief SA is an independent tax assistance and dispute advisory service. We are not SARS, and we do not represent SARS. We do not provide consumer debt review or loan consolidation services. Nothing on this website creates a SARS affiliation or suggests that we can act on SARS's behalf.

Educational content, not advice

The information on this website is provided to help you understand SARS procedures and common tax situations in general terms. It is educational and is not personal tax, legal or financial advice. A service described here is offered within the scope stated on its page. Legal and tax statements require current authoritative sources and named professional review. Your specific position depends on your documented facts and SARS decisions.

No guarantee of outcome

We do not guarantee any outcome, refund amount, debt reduction, stopped collection or response time. Outcomes depend strictly on individual facts and SARS official decisions. No page on this site should be read as a promise that a particular remedy will apply, that a debt will be reduced, or that a refund will be paid.

An enquiry is not an engagement

Submitting the assessment form, contacting us, or receiving information from us does not create an engagement, a mandate or a SARS application. An engagement exists only once you review a written scope, agree to terms, and execute any formal authority required - such as a SARS Power of Attorney. Until then, no representative action is taken on your behalf.

Fees are agreed separately

No fee is payable for the initial enquiry. Any work is quoted in a written scope and fee quotation, and begins only after you review and approve it. We do not publish fixed prices on this website, and we do not charge a success fee unless one is expressly agreed in writing. The factors that affect a quotation are explained on the fees page.

Your responsibility

  • To provide accurate information and to keep it current during any engagement.
  • Not to submit passwords, OTPs, full identity numbers or financial documents through the initial enquiry form.
  • To verify any SARS deadline against the actual notice you received, and to seek timely review where one applies.
  • To understand that ignoring a SARS notice does not pause collection, and that moving or hiding assets is not a remedy.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated. The date of the last review and the actual legal entity must be stated here before publication. Continuing to use the website after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Questions about these terms

Does the form create a mandate?

No. Submitting the assessment form is a private enquiry, not an engagement or a SARS application. An engagement exists only once you review a written scope, agree to terms, and execute any formal authority required. No representative action is taken until then.

Is an outcome guaranteed?

No. We do not guarantee any outcome, refund, reduction or response time. Outcomes depend on your documented facts and SARS decisions. Nothing on this website should be read as a promise that a particular remedy will apply.

This is a non-live legal-review draft. It must be aligned with the actual legal entity, registration details and contracting process, and receive legal approval, before publication. It is not a substitute for formal terms reviewed by a qualified professional.
