How our team supports your matter

A scoped, evidence-led team

Each matter is scoped to the right combination of skills: accounting and reconciliation, tax administration and compliance, forensic and data analysis, business rescue and turnaround, and — where a dispute calls for it — legal advice and court representation. The practitioners responsible for statutory submissions, audit opinions and legal work are engaged for that specific role under a written scope.

What the team provides

  • Financial and commercial diagnosis, reconciliation, audit-evidence and cash-flow support across tax matters.
  • Business rescue and turnaround assessment led by a licensed business rescue practitioner.
  • Forensic, systems and large-data analysis to support evidence gathering and remediation.
  • Tax administration, compliance coordination and document workflows, plus privacy coordination.

How specialist roles fit

  • Statutory tax submissions are reviewed and signed by the authorised practitioner responsible for that matter.
  • A licensed business rescue practitioner leads rescue work; appointment to a particular company is a separate statutory step.
  • Court proceedings and legal representation are undertaken by our consulting attorney under a separately agreed legal engagement.

Questions about the team

Are all team members SARS-registered tax practitioners?

No. The team includes chartered accountants, a licensed business rescue practitioner, forensic and data specialists, and tax administration professionals. Not every member is a SARS-registered tax practitioner. Statutory submissions are reviewed and signed by the authorised practitioner responsible for that matter, and each profile states plainly what a person can and cannot do.

Can I verify a team member's credentials?

Yes. Where a role carries a professional registration, the registration type and awarding body are noted on the profile, and you can confirm any registration directly with that body. See our editorial policy for how we handle professional information.

Who will handle my matter?

After the initial triage, your matter is scoped and a written proposal sets out the work required. Named practitioners and their roles are confirmed with you directly during engagement, once a written scope is agreed. To speak with the team before then, use the contact page or see how working with us works.

Historical employer and project references on individual profiles are personal career experience and do not imply those organisations engage or endorse Tax Relief SA. No private contact details, dates of birth, addresses or referee information are published.

Your matter is handled under a written scope

A confidential assessment is the first step. A representative acts on your behalf only after a formal engagement and written scope are agreed. Our team will advise what is needed to begin.
